Almost all books and courses on data analysis teach sophisticated statistical and financial analysis techniques, but only about 10% of business data analysis requires them. We ask that no more than 10 people from an organization register for the workshop. This is to ensure that as many organizations as possible are able to attend and to make sure that a single organization doesn't dominate the workshop. For groups of 25 or more, we offer private workshops at your organization.

Full time students and approved non-profit organizations may receive an additional 25% discount (applied to total, after any group discounts). To request this discount, please call us at (510) 558-7400, rather than registering via the Web. Students must provide a copy of their student ID.

Location

The workshop will be held at the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf Hotel, located at 2500 Mason Street in San Francisco, which is walking distance from several attractions, including Pier 39 and Ghirardelli Square. Directions to the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf Hotel can be found at their website.

Lodging

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf Hotel for your convenience. Reservations can be made by calling (888) 627-7024. Be sure to tell them that you are attending the "Visual Business Intelligence Workshop" when you register to receive the discounted rate of $179 per night plus taxes and fees. Rooms are available with one king bed or two double beds.

Parking

Parking is available at the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf Hotel for $20 plus tax per day. This rate is discounted from the regular rate of $43 per day, but you have to tell the parking attendant that you're with the Visual Business Intelligence Workshop to receive it.

Food

Lunch will be provided each day and will include sandwiches, salad, dessert, and beverages. Beverages and snacks will be provided in the morning and afternoon.

What to Bring

You won't need anything special during the courses, including a computer. In fact, use of computers during courses is discouraged.

Time

Each course is scheduled from 9am to 5pm with a one hour break for lunch. Registration check-in will begin at 8:30am every day.

Materials

When you check in you will be given a badge and an information packet which will contain materials for all of the courses for which you've registered.
